Jon Sugar, founder of JJ Sugar Inc., has 20+ years of achievements in the Operations, Production, Logistics, and Business Development areas of fast paced, customer focused, high growth organizations.

 

Jon has an extensive background in managing cross-functional business operations, relentlessing pursuing opportunities that drive bottom line growth.  He is an analytical and a conceptual thinker who effectively partners with senior executives and related resources to assess opportunities, facilitate strategic decisions, and drive successful implementations.

 

Jon has managed a broad array of positions and projects in industries including fine jewelry, eco-sensible products, live television shopping, retail, direct to consumer and international product distribution.

 

Some of Jon's positions, projects, and accomplishments:

• Navigating the niche world of Home Television Shopping, Jon has formed relationships with customers, suppliers, factories, and testing facilities around the globe, launching 35+ products and driving multi-millions in sales since 2009.

• Responsible for supply, distribution, and international sales support,  Jon was a key member of the small team that drove a Toronto-based media company to explosive sales growth.

• In Hong Kong Jon was one of the pioneers of a new business platform for the Asian market, establishing a marketplace for socially and environmentally responsible lifestyle products.

• At Canada’s largest jewelry manufacturer Jon managed 300 employees and general contractors, distributed product to 5500 locations, and improved efficiencies while coordinating production between five plants worldwide.

 

Jon thrives on challenges and collaborative problem solving.  Spending quality time with his two young boys and wife is his best reward.
